The Olympia Poetry Network is pleased to announce the first annual Lohmann Poetry Prize Awards, awarding $150 to each of three co-winners.

Contest Rules

  • Poet must be a current resident of Washington State.
  • Contest begins: December 1, 2003.
  • Postmark deadline: January 31, 2004.
  • Limit of one poem per author, up to 2 pages in length, double spaced.
  • Must be original work; no previously published works or works accepted for publication.
  • Author's name must not appear on the poem.
  • Include a cover sheet containing the poem's title, author's name, full address, phone, fax,and e-mail.
  • Lohmann Prize should be indicated on both the outer envelope and the cover sheet.
  • Poems will not be returned.
  • Include a self-addressed stamped postcard to acknowledge receipt of the poem.
  • Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you wish to receive a list of winners.
  • Winners will be announced in April 2004 and will be invited to read their work at the awards ceremony in May 2004 in Olympia, Washington.
  • There is no fee to enter this contest.
